Conditioning & casing is one of the core processes in Primary and has a significant impact on tobacco taste and product homogeneity. 

Optimum application of casing, carried out in a combined cylinder (TB-S) or in a separate casing cylinder (KAS), reduces build-up on downstream machinery and caking of tobacco fibres, and also minimizes winnower rejection levels at the makers. The end result is a more consistent cigarette taste. 

Intensively and homogeneously moistened stems (TB-K) will mean a better cut quality and a higher, more even filling power for the CRES.
